''Calm Down’ Set To Break Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ Record On Billboard Hot 100

100 SHARE TWEET ‘Calm Down’ is set to break Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ record as highest charting Nigerian song on Billboard Hot 100. ‘Calm Down’, the viral hit song by Nigerian singer  Rema  and  Selena Gomez , is expected to peak in the Top 10 of the popular US music chart, Billboard Hot 100 next week. This was made known by Chart Data on Thursday via Twitter. The track currently sits at number19 on the chart and has been predicted to peak higher next week. It’s challenging  Wizkid ‘s ‘Essence’ (featuring  Tems  and  Justin Bieber ), which peaked at 9 in 2021, for highest charting Nigerian song of all time on Billboard Hot 100. If ‘Calm Down’ breaks into Top 10 as predicted and peaks above 9, it will automatically become the highest charting Nigerian/African song of all-time on Billboard Hot 100. Can ‘Calm Down’ break Wizkid’s record on Billboard Hot 100?

  Nigerian artist Ruger has acquired a new mansion. The ‘Bounce’ crooner,  Ruger  recently acquired a new mansion in Lagos but didn’t make a post about it. However, Ruger’s label boss,  D’Prince , showed off the house and congratulated him via Instagram story. He shared a video of himself and Ruger inside the new mansion. Grammy award-winning artist Wizkid boasts about his accomplishments in new Snapchat stories. On Sunday morning (October 30), Grammy award-winning artist  Wizkid  took to his Snapchat and took off some things off his chest. Wizkid  is well-known as that Nigerian celebrity who doesn’t talk too much and doesn’t reply to trolls. However, the superstar, this morning, seemed to have gotten enough as he bragged about his accomplishments on his Snapchat account ‘Felaback’. In one of the posts,  Wizkid  brags that he could stop singing today and nobody (no artist) would be able to touch his wealth. In another post, he reveals that he would open a class to lecture ‘you niggas’ about achieving more with less work. Lastly, he asks that moving forward, he should be addressed as ‘Daddy’ or ‘Sir’. James Brown signs first artist to his record label. Controversial crossdresser  James Brown  has just unveiled an artist called ‘Believe’ as his first signing. The crossdresser, who gained much media attention recently after the leak of his sextape, introduced his artist, Believe, in a TikTok video. In the video, James Brown said, ‘Guys, meet Believe my first artist’. He then asked Believe to introduce himself. According to Believe’s words, there are ‘bangers’ (hot songs) coming out soon.
